BSM MARLINS

BSM Marlins is an elite swimming squad open to all members of the Muscat community looking to compete at a high level.

The team offers year-round training sessions and there are currently four performance squads within the programme, as well as a development squad (from age 8 upwards) and a fitness squad.

We are always looking for new members. BSM Marlins is open to all members of the Muscat community looking to compete at a high level. If you are already a competitive swimmer, we should be able to get you a trial right away with an applicable squad.

If you are not sure of your current level, we can arrange for a trial to take place. Trials take place roughly twice a Term.

Please fill in the registration form to apply for a trial:

Each swimmer is assessed on their ability; taking into consideration the current squad criteria, the swimmer’s age and swimming potential. The Head Coach will offer successful trialists a place in one of the squads. Due to the limited number of spaces available within the Marlins squads, it cannot be guaranteed that each interested swimmer will gain a place. However, the Head Coach will inform any unsuccessful applicants what they need to improve on, so that they may be reassessed in the future.

Our squads regularly compete at both local and National competitions and the BSM Marlins have now established themselves as one of the leading clubs in the Middle East Region.

Adult Lane Swimming

This is a session catering for more competent adult swimmers, who wish to swim a few more lengths. This session focuses on techniques to improve all four strokes and there will be a session written on the board that swimmers can follow.
