For Parents

Emails

As a google school, we recommend all parents use a Gmail account to communicate with us.

Recently we have experienced difficulties sending and receiving emails from Yahoo and Hotmail accounts. Now might be a better time than ever to set up a fresh new email account with a provider such as Gmail or Outlook. You can still retain your Yahoo or Hotmail account and simply forward all your mail from your Yahoo account to your new account Gmail or Outlook. We believe this will be an ongoing problem, not just for contacting BSM but contacting many other businesses who use the same technology as us. If you do decide to create a new account, please do update your details with the school so we can ensure you receive all communications we send out and so you can contact us. We always endeavour to reply to email promptly, if you feel your email has not been attended to within 3 business days, please call us to ensure it has been delivered.

BSM UNIFORM

BSM has a simple uniform, which changes slightly in style as pupils move through the school. Our uniform encourages a sense of belonging and pride in our students. All students from Foundation Stage to Year 11 wear school uniform. Sixth form students must follow the Sixth Form dress code.

From August, ZAKS will be our new uniform supplier. The ZAKS website will be live for purchases in August. Please see this flyer for more information.

Uniform Shop

BSM Uniform is available to purchase from ZAKS. ZAKS offers the opportunity to purchase and try on BSM uniforms in their shop 6 days a week until late (located in Al Muzn Mall close to Al Mouj) and online.

From August 2024, Senior School boys in Years 7 – 11 are able to wear navy shorts with their uniform and we will gradually replace the charcoal trousers with navy blue ones over the next few years. All other uniform items will remain as they are.

Uniform is available from ZAKS from their shop and online via the link below. Please contact ZAKS directly if you have any questions.

Visit ZAKS Website

We also have a Facebook Page run by parents for buying and selling uniform.

Private tuition is available for BSM students on request. Tutoring takes place in school after 3:15pm and is run by BSM staff, subject to their availability.

Signing out/Early release

If you wish to take your child out of school early, then you will need to notify the Head of School in advance. Students must report to the main reception for an exit slip in order to leave school.

Signing in/Late arrival

Students returning to school must follow the lateness procedure and sign in at the main reception on entering school grounds.

Parents Travelling

If parents plan to be away from home for any length of time, please inform the Primary or Senior Office via email. Particularly in the Primary School, it is helpful to know who is collecting your child if there is a change in routine. If both parents are away it is vital that we receive written confirmation of dates and the name and contact details of the person who will be the acting parent, prior to your departure. This person will be the school’s point of contact in the event of an accident or emergency within school and will be expected to make decisions on your behalf.

Drop-off and pick-up arrangements

It gets busy at drop-off and pick-up times so we ask parents to follow the information in the link below:
